Cornwall: Portloe

Portloe turned out to be a very cute and unspoilt little fishing village. Not a gift shop in sight. Here is the harbour with a boat waiting to be winched down to the water.

This is another fishing boat that we saw earlier.

Looking to the south from the coastal path, there's Jacka Point and probably the Blouth beyond that.

The cottages in the harbour were adorable with their brightly painted trim.

I want to visit Cornwall so badly; it strikes me as the California of England, and even has its share of surfers now, as I understand.
Just don't go during the summer holidays. The roads are tiny and can't cope with the traffic.
what a find! a place with no gift shops - must be the only place left like that. Love that village, takes you back in time.
